The Process
Every Slow Oak engagement follows the same four-phase structure — adapted to your specific category, budget, and goals.
Week 0 — Free, 30 minutes
We start with a free 30-minute call. You tell us where you are, where you want to go, and what has or hasn't worked before. We ask specific questions about your product, category, target audience, and timeline. By the end of the call, we will have told you honestly whether we are the right fit — and if so, what an engagement would look like.
What You Receive
No pitch deck. No sales pressure. Specific advice on your actual situation.
Weeks 1–3 — Included in all engagements
Every engagement starts with a strategy phase before any creator is contacted or any content is produced. This is where we do the work that most agencies skip: a cultural audit of your brand's positioning, a creator landscape analysis for your category, and the development of a campaign brief that captures what your brand should say, how it should say it, and who should tell the story.
What You Receive
For Asian brands entering Western markets, this phase often surfaces positioning changes that significantly improve campaign results. We will flag these directly.
Weeks 3–8 — Core execution phase
With the strategy brief confirmed, we move into creator sourcing and campaign activation. We identify, vet, and approach creators — typically 20–50 nano and micro creators per campaign cycle — and manage the full production process: briefing, product seeding, content review, and publication. For TikTok Shop campaigns, we set up the affiliate infrastructure and manage creator onboarding.
What You Receive
We handle the relationship management. You approve the creators and review the content before it goes live. Nothing publishes without your sign-off.
Weeks 6–12 — Ongoing through engagement
Once organic creator content is live and we have performance data, we identify the top-performing posts and amplify them via Spark Ads or paid promotion. We test hooks, audiences, and creative variations — scaling what converts and cutting what does not. Weekly performance reports give you full visibility throughout.
What You Receive
Paid media budget is separate from the agency fee. We manage the spend; you control the budget cap.

A typical Slow Oak creator campaign runs 8–12 weeks from strategy phase to live content and paid amplification. The strategy and positioning phase takes 1–3 weeks. Creator sourcing, briefing, and content production takes 3–5 weeks. Paid amplification and optimisation begins in week 6 and runs through the end of the engagement. Monthly retainer clients operate in 4–6 week content cycles on an ongoing basis.
Slow Oak typically activates 20–50 nano and micro creators per campaign cycle. The specific number depends on the brand's budget, category, and campaign goals. For TikTok Shop affiliate programmes, we often seed to larger networks of 50–100 creators on a commission-only basis. We prioritise creator quality, audience alignment, and engagement authenticity over volume.
The free 30-minute discovery call covers: your brand's current position and goals, an honest assessment of whether Slow Oak is the right fit, preliminary recommendations on creator strategy and channel prioritisation, and clarity on what a proposal and engagement would look like. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you that directly and point you toward what would actually help.
